Sharing Your Screen
BYOD — Bring Your Own Device
Make sure the Zoom app is installed on your device and logged into your Georgetown account with your NetID.
- Open the Zoom app.
- Click the blue Share (screen) button.
- Zoom should be able to detect that you are in the room and automatically begin sharing your screen to the correct room.
If this does not happen, it will ask your for a Sharing key, which can be located in the top-right corner of the display.

Muting Room Microphones in Classrooms
On the Touch Control Panel, tap the thin white bar at the top of the panel to reveal a toolbar. Tap the Home icon to access Source Mode.
Tap the Privacy button (with the microphone icon) to mute all microphones in the room. Tap the button again to unmute all microphones in the room.
Note: For you convenience, when you begin a Zoom meeting, all microphones will automatically unmute. To mute the microphones again, simply tap the Audio button (with the microphone icon) in the Zoom meeting controls on the Touch Control Panel or the large touchscreen display.
Microphones are located in the ceiling of all classrooms. When microphones are active/unmuted, it will illuminate green. When microphones are muted or not functioning as intended, it will illuminate red.
Camera Controls
Switching Cameras
If the classroom has more than 1 camera installed, you may switch to another view during a Zoom meeting by tapping the Switch Camera button. This will display a list of cameras connected to the room. Simply tap the one of the available cameras to switch to that feed.
Pan & Zoom
Cameras facing the front and back of the room have the ability to pan (move) & zoom in/out.
To access this feature
- Start or join a Zoom meeting
- Tap Camera Controls
- Use the arrows to pan (move) the camera so the desired person or subject is in frame
- Use the magnifying glass with the +/- to zoom in or out of the desired person or subject within the frame
Whiteboard Cameras for Classrooms
For rooms equipped with whiteboard cameras, you can display the content of the whiteboard on the digital display.
- Start a new Zoom meeting (orange video icon)
- Tap Switch Camera. You may need to tap More first.
- Switch the Camera to Whiteboard Camera.
The whiteboard should now be visible on the digital display.
Please note: When sharing the whiteboard camera, there is a delay so that content written/drawn on the board can be processed and shown clearly. The camera will also attempt to ignore people standing in front of the whiteboard while writing. Writing/drawing on the whiteboard will still be obstructed if something is obscuring the content from the view of the camera.
How to invite people to a Zoom meeting
From the room, there are 2 methods to inviting people to join the ongoing Zoom meeting. First ensure you are in an active Zoom meeting
Green Shield
Locate the Meeting ID for the Zoom meeting by tapping the green shield icon... 
- on the large touchscreen display in the top-right corner.
- on the Touch Control Panel in the top-left corner.
The Meeting ID will be displayed. Send this number to guests for the Zoom meeting.
Invite
Alternatively, you can use the built-in Invite feature to send an email to guests.
- Start or join a Zoom meeting.
- Tap the Invite button and enter the email address for the desired guest(s).
- Tap send. Your guest(s) will receive an email with a link to join the Zoom meeting.

Zoom Room Instructions
Start a Scheduled Meeting
Tap the scheduled meeting in the meeting list, and tap Start to start the meeting.
Join a Meeting
Tap the JOIN icon on the menu bar, enter the Meeting ID on the number pad, then tap Join.
Start a New Meeting
Tap the NEW MEETING icon.
To Share Content
On the Zoom Rooms control panel, press the blue Share button.
Using Zoom on your personal device, click the Share button. You may be required to enter the Share Key into the Meeting ID or Share Key field in Zoom on your device.
