GU Registered Troubleshooting

GURegistered is a wireless network meant for devices not supporting the 802.1x protocol, such as game consoles, wireless printers, smart TVs, and IoT (Internet of Things) devices. This unsecured network does not provide additional security beyond what is provided by the device you are using.

For Consoles: PS5/ XBOX ONE ETC.

When logged into the GU Register portal:

Device Name field: Use the name of the device and room number ** Note - No spaces allowed in the device name field. Example = MyXbox_VLC304

Do not add anything to the description.

Triple-check the MAC address

When it says pending, it is a bug, so the console should be able to connect. If they receive a message that they are not connected to the internet, please have them restart their device. (May take a while)
