Scare Ware Solution Article

This is scareware, a malicious program that tricks users into buying and downloading unnecessary and potentially dangerous software. Please do not attempt to call the number.

Your computer is not locked; please do the following to remove the pop-ups.

1. Close the browser by clicking Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open the task manager. Then find the web browser program( Chrome, Microsoft Edge)under the applications tab and click End Task.

2. Download Malwarebytes, a free anti-virus software to scan for potential threats to your computer.

3. Clear your cache and cookies in your respective web browser

4. In your browser block pop-ups and redirects from a site
