An Award Header Role or Grant Role is Assigned But the Position is "(Unfilled)"
A position is assigned to an Award Header Role or Grant Role. Workers are assigned to a position. When a position reflects the word "(Unfilled)" in it's title, this means a worker is not assigned to that position.
In some instances, the worker has terminated from Georgetown. In other instances, the worker has transferred in to a new position within Georgetown.
Contact your Senior Business Manager to confirm the status of the worker who no longer occupies the position.
The Pre-Award Office is responsible for assigning and maintaining the Award and Grant role assignments. The Pre-Award Offices keys and maintains these assignments based on the role assignments provided by the respective offices. If the worker has changed positions, contact the GU-Pre-Grant Portfolio Specialist and request that the applicable role assignment be updated with the new position. The GU-Pre-Grant Portfolio Specialist in the Pre-Award Office is listed on the Award > Additional Reports > Grant Roles.
The GU-Pre-Grant Portfolio Specialist receives the following weekly Alert - Lead PI Not Assigned to Grant. Unless the new position number is communicated to the GU-Pre-Grant Portfolio Specialist, that user cannot make the update to the role assignment.
