Why can't I access my GMS account?
New Employee
- Have you been notified by your Human Resource Contact (HRC) or Department Administrator (DA) that your hire in GMS is completed?
- Please confirm with the HRC/DA that you hire is complete. Did you get your NetID and NetID password? (New employees can call UIS to get their initial NetID password - typically the last six digits of their GUID.)
- Are you a rehire? If so, is your current assigned NetID the same as your former NetID? Rehires should retain their original NetID; if you received a new NetID, the GMS support team must review your record with the NetID office to link your original NetID to your new employee record.
Current Employee
- Did you log in with your NetID and NetID password?
- Did you try another browser?
Recently Terminated?
If you were able to access an account in the past and are no longer able to access it, your account may be disabled following termination. Please contact your Human Resource Contact or, if you need W-2 or pay slips info, see I am a retired or terminated employee and I need a copy of my most current W-2 or pay slips. Who should I contact?
Retired?
If you are a retiree who is not currently employed by Georgetown University, you have limited access. For further assistance, please contact your Human Resource Contact or if you need W-2 or pay slips info, refer to the knowledge base article I am a retired or terminated employee and I need a copy of my most current W-2 or pay slips.
